How would you punish your kid if you caught them doing “it” with someone or doing “it” to themselves?

Okay, I’m assuming you are talking about having sex. Sex is not a dirty word and one that children should learn at a young age, as well as “pleasuring” and “masturbation” At the same time they should learn the words “penis” and “vagina”.

When you use terms like “it” and “down there” you imply to them that sex is dirty and to be avoided at all costs. If you are old enough to have children, you are old enough to learn about sex, and all of the techniques, feelings, and responsibilities that come with it, so when it’s time to talk to children about sexual urges, you will know what you are talking about.

Not talking to children about sex, consent, responsibility, feelings, and techniques set your children up for guilt, fear, ignorance, and possible abuse.
